Women On the Move Against Cancer has pledged its support in 2016 to Prostate Cancer UK. Although fundraising continues throughout the year, WOMAC’s main event is on Wednesday 17 February at Westminster Boating Base in Pimlico.  Around 200 guests are expected to gather for a fun-filled evening with drinks and a buffet dinner included, as well as the chance to win one of the many prizes available from the raffle and tombola.

Over the past 10 years, Prostate Cancer UK has invested millions of pounds into research, services and awareness of this form of cancer and provides many services to men and their families. WOMAC’s support this year will pay for men to receive post-treatment packs following surgery or treatment and also fund time for them to talk to specialist nurses.

Full details and how to buy tickets for the evening can be found at www.womac.co.uk or for donations, WOMAC has a Justgiving web page.

WOMAC is a charity made up of female volunteers working in the motor industry. It was established in 1979 and aims to continue the fight against cancer by supporting a variety of projects, searching for more effective treatments or improving the quality of life for cancer sufferers, their families and carers.
